To the east, the Darling Scarp calls to adventurers with its ruggedly beautiful jarrah forest, natural waterways, and spectacular views. Water-lovers are drawn west to experience the region’s 42 kilometres of virtually untouched coastline. And foodies feel at home, strolling through vineyards and devouring gourmet delights.

The Harvey Region is located within Bunbury Georgaphe, only 90 minutes south of Perth.

      From 11–13 September, Sweet Peas & Raindrops is joining the Harvey Region Heritage Festival, inviting visitors to wander through the beautiful heritage-listed Henton Cottage in Australind.

      Discover a treasure trove of unique, handcrafted gifts from Southwest artisans while soaking up the history and charm of one of Western Australia’s oldest buildings. 🏡✨

      While you’re there, make a day of exploring Australind’s heritage by visiting St Nicolas Church, browsing the history display at Australind Library, following the Australind Heritage Trail, and checking out the Makers & Collectors Market on Saturday.

      As part of the Harvey Region Heritage Festival, Harvey Cheese is celebrating the region’s rich dairy heritage with a special festival offering from 11–13 September.

      Head to their Wokalup factory and share in their passion for local produce, with a delicious baked camembert special available throughout the festival weekend.

      With a family-friendly atmosphere, on-site café and plenty of local flavour, Harvey Cheese is the perfect place to enjoy a taste of the region while celebrating the people, produce and stories that make Harvey special.

      Waabiny Playground at the Binningup Beach Foreshore is a firm favourite with little ones and parents alike… and it’s easy to see why!

      With beautiful ocean views right beside the playground, little imaginations can run wild as kids set off on pirate adventures aboard the much-loved pirate ship, Waabiny. 🏴‍☠️✨

      From toddlers to big kids and teens, there’s plenty to explore… climbing, sliding, swinging and even some magical musical elements! And with soft fall surfacing and plenty of shade, it’s a great spot for kids to play while parents can relax nearby.

      You’ll also find sheltered seating, picnic tables and a gas BBQ, making it easy to turn your playground visit into a relaxed family lunch. 🌭☀️

      🌿✨ Celebrate May Gibbs in Harvey! ✨🌿

      As part of the Harvey Region Heritage Festival, we’re celebrating the wonderful world of May Gibbs with a week of activities from 12–18 September!

      The celebrations kick off on Saturday, 12 September with a special May Gibbs Singing Picnic at Stirling Cottage Gardens, right beside the May Gibbs Trail. It’s a fun morning for little ones to sing, explore and celebrate the beloved creator of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. 🐨🌿

      The celebrations continue throughout the week at Harvey Library, with May Gibbs story times, a craft competition and a special display featuring items from May Gibbs’ life, kindly lent by the Harvey Museum and the Knight family. The week will wrap up on Friday, 18 September with an afternoon tea featuring a presentation from a member of May Gibbs’ family, the launch of a newly published May Gibbs book by author Dianne Wolfer, craft competition prize giving and a celebration of 105 years of the Harvey Public Library building.

      Whether you’re a lifelong May Gibbs fan or discovering her stories for the first time, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! 🌱💚
