FREE Recreational Vehicle Short Stay Rest Area
The Shire of Harvey welcomes visitors with fully self-contained RVs to enjoy our free RV Short Stay Rest Areas in Australind, Brunswick Junction, and Yarloop. The Harvey RV site is currently closed.
Maximum stay is 48 hours. Online bookings are required.
The areas are patrolled by Shire Rangers and the following conditions apply to all sites:
- The time frame between one period of stay and the next period by the same RV is 28 consecutive days within the district;
- Erecting a fixed annex is not permitted;
- Clotheslines external to an RV are not permitted;
- Accessing any power outlet is not permitted; and,
- Camp or cooking fires are prohibited at all times.
RV use and camping in areas other than the four sites listed below is prohibited.
RV use and camping in the incorrect area will contravene the Shire’s local laws and the Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act 1995, and can be dealt with by modified penalties

Australind
Located at Christina Street Reserve opposite the Dump Point and Public Toilets with an entry point off Old Coast Road as illustrated below:

Brunswick Junction
PLEASE NOTE: Due to construction happening nearby to the original Brunswick Junction site from 27 November 2023 to 10 January 2024, an alternative site has been arranged for those dates.
For bookings between 27 November 2023 to 10 January 2024, please park in the area indicated in blue.
Located within the grounds of the Brunswick Showgrounds with an entry point off Ommaney Road via Ridley Street, past the Dump Point on a hard stand area as illustrated below

Harvey
Located at Snells Park on Hayward Street (off Uduc Street) at the Dump Point area as illustrated below:

Yarloop
Located at the Yarloop Recreation Grounds on Teesdale Street with an entry point off Kendall Street as illustrated below:

- Maximum of 3 RVs at any one time
- Must have online booking

dump points
There are three free dump point facilities in the Harvey Region for recreational vehicle users.
Located at Christina Street Reserve, Australind.
Located at Ridley Street, Brunswick Junction.
Located at 42 Hayward Street, Harvey.
Wastewater dump points are public facilities provided by local governments to receive wastewater and liquid waste from recreational vehicles with mobile toilet and sanitation fixtures.
Some Dump Points will have a hose provided for the rinsing of your holding tanks. Be mindful that these hoses may have been used to clean waste, and in no circumstances should be used to fill your drinking water tanks.
